Mercury Retrograde Astro Readings (Filipino version)

It’s that (dreaded!) time of the year again. Many of us would cave into our fears of glitchy phones and computers, explosive arguments, and your average BS hitting you like a brick.

The truth is Merc retro isn’t much of a cosmic b*tch we think it is. This period actually reminds us to slow down and contemplate. It’s the ideal time to do the “re’s”: reflection, re-evaluation, relaxation, and rest.

Hence, our reading this week focuses on what we all need to review and go back to in this time of pause. Mercury retro in Cancer begins on June 18 and lasts until July 12, which then overlaps with Venus retro. Get your emotions ready!

The images below are originally posted on our Facebook page, and were intended to be written in Filipino to better reflect the Tarot reader’s voice. Ehem. An English translation will later be added in the captions. But for now, have fun reading!

#Faerie Messages for Today

IMG_20191125_120004_333

If we all relied on “motivation” to get started, we wouldn’t probably finish anything. Motivation is helpful so that we feel good and energized as we work. After all, we want to enjoy working on our projects. But sometimes, we use motivation as an excuse not to do anything. We wait until we are conditioned to work (ouch), and don’t budge when we don’t feel like it. That’s a misuse of our energy –unless conditions in the worklace are unhealthy and we’re not being paid for the work you do — but that’s a different story.

The queen of swords in reverse is either manipulative or idle. We might get stuck in the web of unproductivity, but that can change. Today we are reminded that discipline gets things done, regardless of intrinsic or extrinsic motivation. Unless we are ready to vacate our posts, we must do what we must do, fulfill our duties, and properly allocate our energies. There is a time for rest, and a time for work.

Inner Child Oracle

Note: This interview was originally posted on The Tita Tarot FB page on April 22, 2019.

Here’s my interview with Inner Child Oracle creator, Marigold Uy

TitaI had a great time reading with the Inner Child oracle. Can you tell us something about it? Like your inspiration for creating the deck?

MarigoldI only wanted to have an oracle deck of my own. But I had no means of buying one before. I have not yet found out about online shops in the Phils that sell those. So I thought I’d create my own.

This is from the booklet: The process of assembling the deck came to me smoothly and before I knew it the deck was done in a matter of hours. That was when it occurred to me that without the restraints that we impose on ourselves, the creativity will course naturally through our veins.

Before I can even get to start, I was overwhelmed with the variety of decks already out there, with illustrations that are beautiful enough to earn themselves spots in an art gallery. I honestly have no extraordinary talent when it comes to drawing. But I realized that the physical image is not important. With what I had envisioned, what was more important was the meaning and intention behind it.

T: But what made you create something for/about the Inner Child?

M: The concept came from what my mentor said before. It’s about the difference of being childish and childlike. The deck takes on the meaning of the latter, which is pure, innocent, etc. I think everyone has childlike personalities in them, and I thought why not make something that will amplify that rather than make something more complicated and ‘adult’. I wanted something fun, instead.

T: I did feel that childlike energy from the deck. I don’t see it as a “junior” deck, compared to, say, Doreen Virtue’s or Baron-Reid’s decks. The Inner Child deck stands out on its own and brings a vibrant energy to a reading.

How about on the perspective of a reader? How did you find the ICO the first time you read with it?

MI found and still do find the Inner Child to be honest. Sometimes, brutally so. Like what they say: a child never lies. I also got to know the deck as I read with it more and more (despite me creating it) and I also got to know myself more too (esp when I’m reading for myself).

T: I can definitely relate to that. In the previous reading I did, the Inner Child was THE tita.

Any tips you can give to people who’d like to create their own deck (myself included)? And maybe say something about your other decks?

MAn advice I can give is create what resonates with you most. Create yourself in the form of a deck. You don’t have to think if your deck will resonate with others in the process of making it. The right people will resonate with it too like how they do with you. As long as your intentions are clear, I think you can create anything you want.

I also get that decks should be well researched. But some decks aren’t. The Inner Child actually isn’t. It’s just a product of my intuition and intention. It’s a ‘me’-product.

T: Thanks for these tips. How about a brief description of your Lenormand and Inner Magick decks? And a page where people can buy them?

MThe Colorblot Lenormand is a 36-card deck with two extra woman and man cards.

Inner Magick Oracle

Every one of us has magick within. Undiscovered, it is only sleeping; but once you awaken it, you can tap into the wonderful reserves of your potential. Trust your intuition and you can reach your goals, whether small or big, every day, in any way. This deck of 56 magically charged cards is a product of Ms. Arli Pagaduan and my own journey to finding what the inner magick truly is.

The illustrations made our magick voyage colorful; each card is a reminder of the simplicity and the beauty of magick in our everyday lives. We sincerely hope that using this deck of oracle cards as guide, you may also uncover your own Inner Magick.

TThank you so much for saying yes to this interview, despite the short notice. I hope you create more decks. Good luck on your creative endeavors!
